Preparing the Way provides the most comprehensive EOL doula training in Australasia with different courses to suit everyone, because we are dedicated to only training in end of life (no birth doula training). We have the experienced team, the resources and the platforms to help guide you in your attempt to answer all YOUR EOL queries, whether they be your personal questions, for someone you care about or if you are interested in pursuing a professional EOL doula role and joining our amazingly active doula community.
We have short self paced e-courses for you (with many more topics in the wings); we have our Foundation workshop that has to date been attended by over 1,100 participants, all eager to find out what they really need to know about end of life…
To our flagship 4 day Intensive course, held face to face with our experienced educators and run with no more than you and 8 others in a class, to ensure our course facilitates a comprehensive dive, deep sharing and safely guided exploration of the EOL doula role for you, and the other doulas who attend.
This is where we also like to offer you a warm and fuzzy heads up, that the other doulas in your course, are almost guaranteed to become some of your newest friends for life! At Preparing the Way, we are family. We know the level of personal commitment, contribution and vulnerability required by you to engage in EOL doula training, and want you to know we have your back.
Even after graduating from our Intensive course, we provide you ongoing EOL doula encouragement and support, including masterclasses with guest speakers who are at the forefront of the EOL sphere, as well as an active EOL doula community with over 400 PTW graduates who have all got your back too!

EOL Short Courses
The purpose of our short courses are to give you back choice, capacity and control around end of life for yourself and those close to you by sharing information with you and hopefully inspiring you to progress your end of life planning for you and yours.

EOL Doula Foundation Workshop
Deepen your understanding of death and dying, and learn the basics of how to support someone who is facing their end of life. This interactive workshop will equip you to provide a deeper level of support and service for those you care about or could be your first step to becoming a doula.
